i received my skimmer from Anton today and i think this is a pretty cool skimmer



it is seamless body



detachable base



Volute is pretty impressive and it builds/feels like a metal



However the venturi seems pretty small?




and the pinwheel


overall i'm pretty happy with the purchase, skimmer still breaking in at the moment and it is connected to my coral QT. funny thing is that it use exact the same pump as my SWC 250a but this motor block made in Italy. after fires up the skimmer, i can honestly see the advantage of a cone skimmer. it use much less water than my ordinary cylinder skimmer which surprise me a lot, the bubbles in the skimmer body are so smooth and leading towards to the neck. i'm really impressed with the design and ATB have consider a lot minor thing to make this skimmer work best. i just quickly hook it up with my air meter, it seems doing 40scfh atm but i put the skimmer pretty shallow so i'll ask Anton about best water level for this skimmer, would be interested to see how it compare to my other skimmer.

I'm leading towards to use this skimmer on my 6fter and the other one use it in my coral sale tank. i just convinced after seeing it performs although it still breaking in. will take some update video when skimmer fully breaks in.
